A Blessed Easter

Yesterday was Easter and it coudln’t have been more beautiful to celebrate such an important day! We started off in Conway at another excellent Easter service at New Life Church, then ran by my moms to visit before heading to lunch at Broc’s parents in Little Rock. His good friend from highschool and his family joined us and it was great to have a kid around… hiding Easter eggs just isn’t the same without one of those. Dinner was amazing of course and Jill even broke out her famous Easter Bunny costume (or the head at least) to impress baby Alex. Not sure if he was impressed or confused though because he kept asking to take her mask off…. Can’t fool that kid!
Overall just a great day with family and friends who are such blessings to me.
Let every man and woman count himself immortal.  Let him catch the revelation of Jesus in his resurrection.  Let him say not merely, “Christ is risen,” but “I shall rise.”  ~Phillips Brooks
Alex really enjoyed the dog cage!

Playin Dress-up!

Last week was the first Arkansas Razorback football game in Little Rock and we all tailgated at War Memorial. It was H.O.T outside and my friends with kids brought their little girls along. Because of both of these things, we decided to take the party to my house instead of inside the game. Needless to say, the girls had free reign- of my house and my dogs! They ran straight for the “guest room” which is basically a big closet of clothes and makeup- any 5 year old’s absolute dream! I also gave them my camera- because I’m the cool aunt- and got a really good laugh out of the pics they took of their “masterpieces”. What absolute dolls these kiddos are- just love them to pieces!

Sweet baby Tulah turned ONE over the weekend! It seems like just yesterday we were throwing her momma a pool party/ baby shower and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 5th baby girl to join the group! Tulah is a sweet, even-tempered little doll who looks just like her daddy. We celebrated her big day at Wild River Country, and let me just say, that place is not as great as I used to think it was… But all the kids had a blast and it’s always a good time hanging out with the girls.

This first weekend of summer was filled with cute kiddos and lots of fun in the sun. (Of course we did dinner and drinks both Friday and Sat night but I never have my camera on me and there’s nothing cute about a bunch of grownups only acting like kids…)

First, Saturday morning was baby Emmett’s second birthday party at Burns Park. Man has this kid grown up fast!

he knows he's cute!

was out of his clothes in less than an hour!

And his sister Isabelle (my first true love!) is going to be in the SIXTH grade next year. Yes, the sixth- which makes her pretty much a pre-teen which is not gonna be fun for her mom and dad!

i love this child!

Amy of course did a great job decorating the pavilion in a super cute choo-choo train theme and made the cake and party favors herself. This is one talented momma!

conductor hats

he was pretty excited about his birthday!

i bet all the mommas loved those whistle gifts!

Emmett was a total ham as usual and all the kids had a blast playing at the fun-park down the street. Man my friends have some cute kids!

Cute little Archer

Matilda's eyes!

getting them in one pic was not easy!

belly laughs are the best

I snapped a few pics, sang happy birthday, watched him open some presents and was on my way to the pool!

Speaking of summer, I am so fortunate for friends with pools! We spent Sat and Sunday at Chrissy and Jonathan’s with Sarah and Stella just laying out and having a good ol’ time. Stella just loves the water (which is quite an improvement over last year when she would rather just watch from the steps) and is a always a fun time.

She also loves her aunt Megan the most b/c i bribe her with makeup and candy… :) I love getting them all jacked and then leaving them to their mommas when its time for bed…

I love spending time with my sweet Stella- she’s the happiest and most laid back 4-year-old ever! Stella and mom Sarah had a sleepover Saturday night and I took Stella shopping on Sunday so Little could do Sarah’s hair. We talked and played and got lots of makeup and treats! The cutest part of the weekend, though, had to be Stella’s performance on the apparently popular-again Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m glad these guys are back, but I need to check out the re-mix b/c I don’t remember moves this sweet…
